Kuat NV 2.0 2 Bike Rack Review - 2024 Buick Enclave- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 on our 2024 Buick Enclave. All right, so the NV is actually a really good carrier for a person that's looking for a wheel mounted carrier. So a little bit of explanation on wheel mounted is that's how your bike in secured, is by making contact with only the wheel and nowhere on the frame. So if you have a carbon fiber frame, a nice paint job or unconventional frame, like a step through bike, wheel mount is generally gonna be a great option to secure your bike without making contact. So the Kuat has really easy controls, it's very premium carrier, and you can tell that from interacting with it. It makes it really easy to move things around. more

Yakima OnRamp 2 Bike Rack Review - 2024 Buick Enclave- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp on our 2024 Buick Enclave. Well, the Yakima OnRamp is a great bike carrier for someone that has the Enclave because the hitch sits up so much higher. Having that included ramp makes a world of difference as far as loading your bikes. Once your bike is loaded, you'll notice that this is actually a frame mount bike carrier. So you're gonna have three points of contact. You're gonna have two straps on each one of your wheels and the center mast cradle that makes contact with your frame. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2024 Buick Enclave- Video
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt Hanging-Style Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2024 Buick Enclave. Now this is going to be a more premium option as far as hanging-style racks go. It's got a lot of nice convenience features and allows you to carry up to five bikes. So I recommend this for families, because even though it can fit five bikes, five adult bikes is gonna be hard. But if you have kids' bikes in the mix, then that's gonna be a lot easier to make them fit and abide by the weight capacity, which is up to 150 pounds total. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2024 Buick Enclave- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2024 Buick Enclave. Now the Destination is gonna be a platform-style bike rack and this version of it can carry up to four bikes. If you don't need that kind of capacity, they do make one of this that can carry only two bikes and it's gonna be pretty much the same thing, just shorter. But this is gonna be a really solid option for an entry-level bike rack because it's a pretty good value option and it offers a lot for the price. So it can carry a bike up to 35 pounds, which, for most, it's gonna be more than fine. more

Now, this is gonna be a really nice introduction into the world of premium-style bike racks, and it's one of my own personal favorites. It strikes a nice balance between ease of use and looking just very minimal and sleek. So the NV can support a 60-pound bike, so you can maybe hold some of your e-bikes and it's gonna hold the bike primarily by our front tire, which means no frame contact, making this a good option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Buick Encore- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Swagman XC2 bike rack here on a 2021 Buick Encore. So this is what the XC2 looks like installed in the back of our Encore here. And we only got one bike attached, but it should be pretty much the same for two bikes. Now for starters, they're pretty much gonna block your backup camera. You're gonna get some slight visibility between the frame here, but that's gonna be the case for pretty much any bike rack. And then, in regards to the rear windshield here, the rear hatch glass, you're gonna be able to see most, you're gonna be able to retain most of your visibility there. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 platform-style bike rack here on our 2017 Buick Envision. Now, this style of bike rack is gonna hold the bike by the front wheel right here. Now, that means it's going to be good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes, and it does have a 40-pound weight capacity, so not quite good for our e-bikes. If you're maybe wanting that higher weight capacity, I'd recommend checking out the RockyMounts MonoRail. It's gonna hold the bike pretty much the exact same way and give you that higher 60-pound capacity that you might be looking for. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Buick Envision- Video
Hi, everyone! Aiden here with "etrailer.com," and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-bike Rack here on our 2017 Buick Envision. Now, this is one of my favorite e-bike racks because it's really easy to use and it's gonna hold the bike really well. You can see we've got three-wheel straps on the bottom and the primary clamp up top around the frame. That's gonna be tightened down with this lockable hand knob and keep everything nice and still because it's making frame contact, we are gonna want to avoid our carbon frame bikes but this will work well for our alternative frame, excuse me, because that clamp can rotate and move around and with a 70-pound weight capacity per bike, it's gonna be good for our even heavier e-bikes than the typical 60-pound capacity. Now, what makes this rack for me stand out is the tilting. You just have this hand knob down here towards the bottom of the rack, just stand here between the rack and the car and once that is loosened, we can just push the whole rack away down of almost a full 90 degrees and it's really easy to do. more

Now the OnRamp is going to be a really solid bike rack. I really like it. It's really, primarily built for those e-bikes, because it's got a nice 66 pound weight capacity and comes with a built in ramp, so e-bikes get really heavy, really hard to load up. The ramp that's built in, you can attach it to these trays, roll your bike up and down really easy. Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Buick Enclave- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Premium Hitch Mounted Bike Rack on our 2020 Buick Enclave. One of the big questions that we get asked all the time in regards to these such amount of bike racks, is if you're still going to be able to have full access to the back of your SUV. And this one does fold down out of the way and allows us to do that and the way that we're going to do it, we move down here, we're going to need to loosen up this Thandle, you give that a few turns. Then we're going to have a 10 in clip that we need to pull up, let me just lift up on this THandle. That'll allow the rack to swing down and that'll give us more than enough space to open up our hatch and get whatever we might need in and out of the back of our Buick. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Buick Regal- Video
Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail 1 platform-style bike rack on our 2016 Buick Regal. So, if you are just one of those guys that shows up at the trails to meet all of your buddies and all you really need is to get one bike to and from the destination, I think this is going to be a great option for you. If you have a bike with fenders, probably not going to be a good option for you, especially if the fender's on the front wheel, because we do have a wheel hook, but these are going to be great for your carbon fiber bikes, so if you have some of those, using a hanging-style bike rack isn't really going to be the best. But with this, it's going to be the best for that carbon fiber bike.So, let's go ahead and just go over one of the main features of this bike rack. We're going to be able to tilt it with the bike installed. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Buick Regal- Video

So if you're really looking for a bike rack, that's going to be able to accommodate for those smaller bikes you may have, also those bigger bikes you may have, but not really looking to carry an e-bike or a fat tire bike, this is the bike rack for you. This is also probably one of the most good looking bike racks you will ever find here at etrailer.I just love it because it's got a nice aluminum brushed finish to it. So, it's not going to rust away over time. One thing I like about this bike rack is we can go ahead and lean it back. more

So if you're looking for a rather inexpensive way to get two bikes to and from your destination, well you found it. This one's really going to give you a lot of different options when it comes to what bikes we can put it on and of course, what kind of hitches we can put them in. So right off the bat, if you're looking for a bike rack that's going to allow you to tilt it with the bikes installed, or just tilt in general, this one isn't for you. We have no tilting feature with this bike rack, which is just, like I said, kind of the bare bones kind of bike rack you can have. more

The rack that we have here today can carry up to a total of two bikes. But if you need to carry more, there's also a four bike version available as well. One thing I really like about this rack is that it's going to sit up a little bit higher and that works really well with the Envision because these particularly don't have a ton of ground clearance. And since the racks, it's up higher, it's going to keep our bike further off the ground out of danger, but it's not going to set up so high either that it's really going to block or obstruct our view whenever we're looking out of our mirror. more

The most unique thing about this bike rack is the fact that it can swing away from the vehicle to give you full hatch access, without having to remove all four bikes, which is pretty unique for a hanging style bike rack. It's very easy to operate. We'll first start at the back, here with this knob, loosen it up all the way. Now you can do this with all four bikes attached, but it makes it a little bit easier on you where you just have to remove this pin at the base here. That's just a snap pin. Hollywood Racks Sport-Rider-SE Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Buick Envision- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Buick Envision we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Sport SE 4 Bike Platform Rack for 2" hitches. Part number HR1400. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.One thing that separates this from the previous versions of the Sport Rider is the fact of how it can tilt away from the vehicle as opposed to having several pins that you'll have to remove, we just have the one here at the front. Loosen that up, lift up slightly, and you pull the pin here to release it, letting it come down towards you until it's fully tilted away. Now, this can work with all four bikes still attached although it can be a little bit difficult to get to that front pin, so you may need an extra set of hands just to hold onto the bike rack while you do this.We can open up our rear hatch and it is going to be a little bit tight, and you can see between the hatch and the handlebars here, from the center out, we're measuring about nine inches, from here to here, so if you have longer handlebars you may have an issue of clearance with your hatch. more

We have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.A prominent feature of this rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached. To do that, you're going to remove two pins up at the front here, and it can be kind of difficult to get to when you have two bikes on there. So, we'll remove the first smaller pin, and lifting up slightly, we'll remove the larger of the two pins. Holding onto the bike rack, let it come forward toward us, and now we have rear hatch access and plenty of space in between the hatch and our handlebars as you can see here, and plenty of space in between the bike and bumper to get what you need. more

Instead, you just come to the end with this handle here, just pull it towards you and let it come down. A lot easier. Now we have full access to our hatch with plenty of space in between our handlebars and our hatch, and plenty of space in between our bike rack and the bumper to get what we need.Another nice feature about this is the ride height of the bike. more

We already have a bike installed on the rack, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.One of the nice features about this is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes attached. What makes it different is, opposed to having to reach up underneath and get to a switch or to a knob or whatever to pull out, on this one you can actually come up to this foot pedal here. Just push down, and the bikes will tilt away. Now we have plenty of space in between our handlebars and our hatch, and plenty of room to get to our hatch to get what we need. We'll put it back up into place, and you'll hear that click.How it's held in place, we're not going to have any frame contact at all. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Buick Envision NV22B- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Buick Envision we're gonna be test fitting the Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack, part number NV22G. This will only fit 2" hitches, and it can carry up to two bikes. How it actually grips the bikes, there's gonna be no frame contact at all; instead it's gonna have this wheel hook up at the front, as well as this wheel strap at the rear, which is adjustable to accommodate different sized bikes, and to help out with loading.One of the biggest features about this rack is the fact that it can tilt away with both bikes, which isn't really that unique, but it does have this switch up at the front here, that you can see, while most would actually have it behind the first bike and it's kinda hard to get to when you have both bikes attached. With this one you just hold on to the bike rack, pull out towards you, or push in, let it come down, and now we have full hatch access, and plenty of clearance between the hatch and the handlebars as well. And I also have enough space to get in between to get what I need. To put it back to its original position, just lift up, and it snaps right back into place.Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

To do that, you will come to this lever at the front, pull up, like so, let it come towards you, and now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need, and there's gonna be plenty of space on either side to get what you need as well. To put the bike rack back to its original position is very easy. You just push up till you hear the click.How the bike is held into place will have three points of contact. We're gonna have this padded frame hook up at the top, and it is padded to ensure that your bike won't get any scratches or abrasions on it once it's being uninstalled. Then on both tires, we'll have these wheel straps on either side to hold those in place, and the wheel cradles themselves are adjustable by loosening and tightening the knobs on the opposite sides, and that's the accommodate bikes of different sizes, but also to help out with loading and unloading bikes as well.Let's go ahead and take the bike off. more
